For the participants of AUTOMATION 2021 there are two additional possibilities of publication with journals:

Automation in Construction (Elsevier, https://www.journals.elsevier.com/automation-in-construction)

The authors presenting their papers within the special session Automation in Construction may decide to submit their papers to Automation in Construction journal.

Materials (MDPI, https://www.mdpi.com/journal/materials/special_issues/functional_smart_materials)

Interested authors will submit their papers to Materials journal to special issue themed “Functional and Smart Materials for Industry, Robotics and Sensor technologies”. For the authors presenting their papers during AUTOMATION 2021 there are discounts of the fee for open-access publication (APC).

Important

In case of rejecting the paper by the journal, it can be published in AUTOMATION 2021 conference materials after corrections and a positive review from a conference reviewer, as long as the corrected paper is submitted to the organizers no later than on December 1, 2020 together with the original review and the decision of rejection from the journal.

Because of the limitations indicated above, we leave the decision about submitting their papers to Automation in Construction or Materials to the authors. Please bear in mind that the papers submitted to the journal can not be simultaneously processed for publication in the AUTOMATION 2021 conference materials in Springer (the decision about rejection from the journal must be available, before we can start working on publication in Springer).

Details for authors willing to submit their papers to the journals

The authors willing to submit their papers to one of the journals, are asked to indicate this fact in the Topics section in the submission form in Easy Chair by marking one of the following:

  • submitted for publication in Automation in Construction
  • submitted for publication in Materials

Then, the authors can submit their paper to the journal, also informing the journal editor that the paper was submitted to AUTOMATION 2021.
